A Different Kind of Eating Disorder Therapy
If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve been through a lot, not only with your relationship to food, but also with trying to get help for it. Maybe you’ve been in programs that felt rigid, controlling, or like they were happening to you rather than with you. You may have felt like you were losing your sense of agency, or that you had to comply with structures that didn’t feel safe in your nervous system.
I created this space for people who are ready for something different—something that honors your autonomy, your nervous system, and your own pace of healing.
XOXO,
Martha
Why I Approach Eating Disorder Therapy Differently…
In my earlier work, I saw how environments meant to help sometimes ended up hurting. While structured programs are necessary and lifesaving for many, some clients felt re-triggered by timed meals, strict rules, and rigid accountability. These approaches could unintentionally mirror early trauma—feeling controlled, stripped of agency, and left to rebel through food or eating disorder behaviors.
I watched people leave treatment still struggling with food, and often more distrustful of themselves. That’s why I decided to offer something different.
With me, you won’t be micromanaged or policed. I’m not here to dictate what recovery “should” look like. My focus is on creating safety, so your nervous system can settle and real healing can unfold. We work collaboratively, with your agency at the center of every step.

Who I’m a Good Fit For
I work best with people who:
Are medically stable, not in need of intensive or highly structured care, and don’t need strong external accountability
Want to explore the root causes of their eating disorder behaviors rather than just the surface-level symptoms
Value autonomy, agency, and self-determination in their healing process
Have felt that traditional treatment was too controlling, rigid, or oversimplified
I may not be the right fit if you are:
In need of medical stabilization or a higher level of care such as inpatient or residential treatment
Looking for a therapist to provide strict accountability, food monitoring, or a highly structured program
Needing an emergency response or crisis-level support on a regular basis
Not wanting to explore trauma underlying your eating disorder
Unique Options for Deeper Support
While weekly 60-minute sessions provide steady progress, sometimes you may want something different—either more experiential support in the moment or a deeper dive that accelerates your healing. That’s why I offer these additional options:
Meal Support Sessions: Experiential Healing in Real Time
Sometimes, it’s not enough to talk about food, you need support while you’re actually navigating it. That’s where meal support sessions come in.
In these sessions, we work together in real time as you move through a meal or snack. Instead of rigid rules or pressure, you’ll get:
A safe, compassionate presence to help regulate your nervous system
Gentle guidance in noticing and shifting patterns with food in the moment
A chance to practice eating with more calm, curiosity, and self-trust
Meal support allows you to experience what healing feels like, not just reflect on it.
Immersive Sessions: When You’re Ready for More Depth, Faster
If you don’t have time for weekly therapy—or you’re craving a deeper dive—immersive sessions may be the right fit.
Immersives give us extended time together, so we can:
Move past the “check-in” phase and uncover the root of your eating disorder patterns
Create safety and momentum that accelerate the healing process
Explore connections and insights that aren’t always possible in a single hour
Many clients say immersives give them the breakthrough they’d been waiting for when weekly therapy alone wasn’t enough.
